Well when I go out for a walk way out yonder, it normally means to me a walk or a stroll into the distance with no particular or definitive route. However I think it can mean dreamy state, disconnected etc etc So I sort of understand where you are coming from! Mary F x

Do you think you may have an ear infection? That "yonderly" feeling is how I feel when I get an infection of any kind and I got dizziness and tinnitus last Sunday when I started with an ear infection-and felt very ill! A 7 day course of antibiotics has sorted it out, thank goodness. I contacted my GP's out of hour's service, 'cos you can't neglect ear infections. Hope you feel better soon!

i suffer from dizziness and tinnitus quite a bit. i never know whether to blame the aps or lupus, which ever it is the tinnitus is annoying but the dizziness is the pits. try focusing on a object in the room to try and settle it.

Hello, I have been suffering this on and off for the last 18 months and my GP has now sent me to hospital to see an ENT Consultant, at the moment they are thinking it's Menieres disease, I have tests done on my earsand I go for a scan on Monday, but so far the test seem to confirm it's Menieres. I go to the Consultant April 2nd for the final diagnosis. Hope this helps you, of course yours might be an ear infection, but I thought it was worth mentioning this. Hope you are better soon.

Hi there, I really feel for you. I suffer this too and it can been so isolating. The rest of the world seems to be moving at a different speed don't they and you feel so disconnected. I usually end up falling over alot, bumping into alot of things, breaking alot of cups and sitting in my chair with a pillowcase on my head, lol. My eye doctor (can't remember the real word) who is an APS genius, says it's micro clots in my brain/ear receptor/balance bits - sorry lost all technical words today. and I often find it's a good indicator that I need to look at my anticoagulation (I've probably forgotten a tablet!!!) or haven't been drinking enough or eating properly. Hope you find your coping strategies - I think it's something we are stuck with with APS and Lupus :( . Oh Might be worth getting your INR checked.

Hi Sharon and everyone else who took the trouble to answer my question. Yes, I had an infection not long ago which manifested with dizziness, I did not think that the tinnitus might be an add on to it, and I was a professional OT once!! It is so strange how one can be so clear sighted for others and blind with oneself. I was extraordinarily thirsty yesterday so that also could be a sign of infection. As I say, thank you to you all. Don't you think this site is wonderful. I certainly feel that I am not out on a limb anymore, we all seem so considerate of each other. Much love MaryH xxx

Hi I was told by my Consultant that the tinnitus is caused by the APS.

Mine started about 18 months ago when I had a very bad dizzy, spaced out, turn, it has never gone away. Some days it is worse than others.

MaryH her again,

Hi Suelovett, just seen your reply. Do you have the tinnitus often? I know you said it started 18 months ago, but can you remember how often it has retured since then. I do hope you do not have it all the time!!! it really makes you feel isolated like someone else said. Much love MaryH xxx

Hi Suelovett,

Just shows how spaced out I am today, re read your message and realised that you state that it has never gone away. Sorry about that. Much love MaryH xxx

I have menieres disease and feel like this pretty much all the time. I get so dizzy that sometimes all i can do is lie flat on a bed. I even have to crawl to the bathroom sometimes/ I was about 14 before i realised that not everybody had these noises in the ear.
