They have made adjustments and my sickness was getting better but I've had 12 sick periods in 12 months in the last 8 months only had 3 they did the same to my partner as she has epilepsy but she got her job back after 2 months. The are supposed to be a family business yeh right. He what happens it's to as if its a cold it's a condition hat isn't going to get better just so fed up. Least I'm on holiday the week so I can prepare thanks xx

have had a number of private mails from friends in the UK who are in the same position. Most have been successful in keeping their jobs or getting large claims for wrongful or constructed dismissal.

It is also worth remembering (in the UK) that we can easily be registered as disabled with our local councils, and then any attempt to dismiss on health grounds can also be against the law (Disability Discrimination Act).

Moderators, you can remove this if it contravenes the rules of the group:

If anyone in the UK has similar problems please use the contact us link on bulfin.co.uk as they are employment law solicitors who have many years of experience working for both employers and employees. NO! I am not anything to do with this company, I just know they have helped others.

Thanks for making me feel better that I wouldn't win a tribunal I wish I hadn't asked now !!!!!!

You are asking a question about a very difficult set of circumstances, many on here have been through similar, it is best to be armed with as much information and support as possible, nobody on here wants to make you feel bad or unsupported, we try to be realistic and give the whole picture, some times from direct experience or from helping and listening to others who have had similar. I hope you can work out some sort of solution. Just looking at both sides of the coin, so you can best be informed. Mary F x
