Hi,

I was officially diagnosed with HS in my groin area of August last year, whilst pregnant with my son. Since giving birth I have now been put on a antibiotic called oxytetracycline, can anyone shine a light on how effective this treatment is please?

I have been suffering with these cysts, which were first told to me as bartholin cysts 🙄 for 10 years. I’m at the end of my tether! Being pregnant didn’t help and they flared up to huge sizes, since giving birth I have smaller cysts in clusters all over my groin and outside of my vagina lips 😬 I just can’t win! I also have tunnelling in which they never truly go once drained.

Please, please please! Anyone in a similar situation have any advice/suggestions about this condition would be much appreciated! Dermatologists don’t give 2 hoots either 😡

Go see a dermatologist and ask for humira it's been a life-changer for me it's the first FDA-approved the one and only medication approved for HS and it's working wonders

She is absolutely right! I have been on Humira for 8 months and not had an outbreak!

I’ve been given oxytetracycline to try am on my last dose of 3 months and even though it has reduced it, I’m not rid completely. Is humira available in the uk? Thanks for the recommendation!

I’m on a combination of clindamycin and rifampin. Have had bother all my adult life and for once the break outs have reduced dramatically.

Are they both antibiotics? I’ve only been given oxytetracycline to try for 3 months then i have a break from them. It’s clearing but will not go completely drives me insane!
