Will there ever be an HIV/AIDS cure?

Will there ever be a cure for HIV/AIDS? If so how far are we ? I also heard that there might be injections that will replace the current pill a day. Anyone with information please share.

I'm not sure on that, as my Dr recently informed me that instead of one pill a day, I'll be on two 'unbranded' pills. That's due to the nhs saving money. Would it cost more to produce an injection or a pill?

I think an injection per month would be much better than a pill a day. I think a pill a day is a constant reminder that one is living with HIV. With an injection I think that you don't have to remember carrying your medication whenever one goes. I also believe that there's no political will from world leaders to end this epidemic. Those are just my views as an infected young person from South Africa
