Welcome Kim, I'm new to replying but wanted to share I understand, I was diagnosed in 2001 and the first five years were the same, the most difficult. But it got easier over the next five and now these last years I have been more healthy and happy than ever. There has been some harsh times recently and deep sadness, but learning to live with HIV and finding compassion for myself has taught me acceptance. I have gained the emotional resilience to know that things do and can get better, there are opportunities to be Joyful are out there, and KIm it will get better.
Thank you so much that's very encouraging ,I'm still trying to find my way round this illness I also suffer with lupus so it's kind of hard am sure I will get there eventually .i find am very lonely and lost am single don't know if I will be able to find love again
MelRattue and Kimmy: I am newly diagnosed and I find a lot of encouragement in your strength. Stay strong!

Hi kim it's usually hard at time but stay positive knowing that at least you have meds that can help a lot and this community that has people who have been where you are. You're not alone.
