I take bisoprolol 2.5 mg daily I had a run of Vt and sinus tachycardia since my stroke in 2018 which I also have aps on Sunday I took 1.25 mg bisoprolol and the following day I had high heart rate when walking which isn’t unusual on the 2.5 mg but even at rest it was 111 and could feel palpitations can taking a lower dose for one day cause that as it calmed down around 1 hour later once I took that’s days dose of 2.5 mg ?

It’s called rebound tachycardia . When I was trying to get off bisoprolol even a tiny dose drop would cause a high heart rate . Some people seem more sensitive to it than others . The fact it slowed when you upped the dose makes that seem likely but am not a doctor so get checked out if in doubt . It’s why there is a warning on beta blockers not to discontinue abruptly

Thankyou for replying to me the other thing I noticed after I took that dose and my heart rate lowered it dropped down to 43 bpm and 47bpm only momentarily so not really sure what is going on with my heart rate
