I’d love some advise if you suffer passing out or severe dizzy spells when in AF?

Diagnosed with paroxysmal AF 8 years ago that didn’t really affect my life over next 5 years did Zumba 3 x week, daily big walks & swimming. AF increased as did medication so gave up all the usual AF no no’s. 18 months ago I passed out. Had to take 5 mths off work with daily episodes dizziness & exhaustion had shingles for 2nd time. Returned just as Covid hit so been WFH. The episodes I can “cope “ with (!) calm breathing & meditation etc. But it’s the dizzy spells, im really struggling. Past 4 weeks it’s exacerbated daily AF & the dizziness many times day just sat down doing nothing. Can’t ever go for walk, I’ve tried but have to keep lying down so I don’t pass out. I try do yoga 3x week but not in past month & if I am having a good spell, can’t get head lower than heart. Yoga before was great. I’m so frustrated. Posted about upcoming ablation fears & need to decrease BMI big time (that I’m working on) but exercise is a part I’m missing because of dizziness even walking. Takes a lot to knock me down & although I work keeping mentally focused I usually bounce back up when not dizzy or lots of episodes. Medication not changed since September - flex 200g day, bishop 5mg day & apixaban for thinning, Has anyone suffered with this, got a miracle cure 👍🏻or a ray of hope 😁 x

Magnesium Citrate 200mg twice a day cured me of ectopic beats 10% that I'd had for 12 months. It is beneficial to many other arrhythmia conditions. It is supported by some clinical studies. What's to lose?

Thank you Jeff - that’s good to hear glad to hear you’re much better - which do you use? I googled a video by Dr Gupta & the brand he recommend 3 years ago has not great reviews. It was also £45 a bottle!! Cardiovascular research magnesium taurate 😁

You need to find out why this is happening, if it's due to pauses causing bradycardia then a pacemaker may be needed, if it's your meds they can be changed. Don't try and self treat until you've had some tests.
