Bisop and symptoms

Hi all

I have paf for about 18 months. Prior to that overweight and drank too much and very stressed.

Now weight loss, less stress and no alcohol or caffeine. But, the Bisop is lowering my pulse to 50 ish even after walking etc, bp 90/60 low and lots of ectopics which I never had before ?Hands and feet always freezing. Can do longer get around 18 holes of golf due to tiredness and breathless.

So has the paf all of a sudden caused all of this or is the Bisop doing me no good ?

My paf is most likely vagal and worse at rest and at night. I am a podiatrist and sit on my bottom all day.

Opinions welcome please. I too am very anxious and want to help myself.

Rod

Pulse at 50 and BP are not too bad really.Cold hands are a side effect ,which despite being on 7.5mg Bisoprolol daily I do not really suffer from.

I feel a bit more tired since last increase in dose but there again I do not sleep well.Would not normally puff unless I get A/fib attack.

I take 2.5mg of bisop each morning for over a year now. I've always had cold hands and feet but I haven't noticed much of a difference. My heart rate when awake and just sitting ranges anywhere from 60-80. When wake in the morning it does drop to low 50's. Rarely does it go about 120 even when I'm doing something strenuous. I sometimes get tired suddenly, particularly in the later afternoon, but aside from that I've been feeling pretty good these past few months.

Similar to yourself, I've started on a weight loss journey and have managed to lose a stone so far in about 3 months, so I'm very happy about that. About another 1.5 to go. I still drink a few beers at the weekend and coffee. Neither seems to have any affect on palpitations or the likes.

I am afraid more than a mouth full of red wine can set me off, most of the time. This week I am off it total, though still have one coffee a day and a couple of teas

I have a similar A-fib story. So I too cut out the alcohol and lost weight; actually its the keeping the weight down that is the more difficult of the two.
