So per my previous post, i have since had the results of the holter monitor for 24hours. It states that the highest HR i had was 139(panic attack) and the lowest was 66. With on two separate occasions throughout the 24hours my heart was missing some beats. But the doctor states he isn’t worries about this. However since this i am still getting readings of between 37-42 on both a pulse oximeter and Blood Pressure monitor. I’ve focused and realised that these tend to happen when lying down. I don’t get this really when i’m up and active. Has anyone else experienced and give me any advice. Due to my panic disorder, my doctor tends to blow me off and put it down to MH

HR drops to 38- Results & follow up
I think if you're laying down, your heart rate is ok to be in that range, especially if they didn't see any other problems. I know my heart rate is below 50 for about 20% of the night as per my apple watch. If you were passing out when up and moving about, or you were getting extremely lightheaded and woozy, that would signal a problem. Your heart would not be pumping enough blood for your brain to function well. Doctors, for the most part, like to see a low heart rate, and are ok with it as long as your heart can get high when needed.
If you have extra beats or skipped beats, the blood pressure monitor doesn’t measure your heart rate correctly. I was wearing an Apple Watch and kept noticing that my heart rate was sometimes way too high (like 180 when I was not exercising )and then was followed by a real low number (like 39.) . cardiologist said due to benign PVCs
Hi MistyEliz, If you feel your low heart rate is causing you to feel unwell, maybe you could ask for a second opinion?
Let us know how you get on. :))
