Hi

So where do I start. I always had ear infections in my left ear when I was little.

As an Adult my left is my weaker ear 🙄

So anyway about 2 weeks ago I got an infection in my left ear. Had lots of gunk coming out.

Two days later my right ear perforated 😔

Since then my hearing has been poor

I’ve been to the hospital twice now for ENT appointments

Today they said as my ears are not functioning correctly I’m being referred to the consultant and also for hearing aids

My job won’t have me back until my hearing is better 😔

I’m scared and fed up. Any advice? Or even a web hug would be lovely

Hi,

I'm sorry you are going through this. I know hearing loss can be very scary. I lost my hearing a few years ago from meningitis. My advice is to go the audiologist and get hearing aids. Hearing aids can help you and then you can get back to work.

Thank you for your reply. I am just waiting for the appointments now. Had hearing checked twice in the last 10 days 🤷🏽‍♀️
