Hi there,

I have worn a bone anchored hearing aid for 20 years now and have not met anyone else who wears one.

Is there anyone else in this group who does?

I'd love to chat and share experiences

Jo :)

I have a Bonebridge, which is a BAHA without an abutment. The part attached to my skull has a magnet and is completely hidden under the skin. The outside processor attaches itself to my head by magnet. The advantage is that there's no opening in the skin, so it doesn't need any ongoing care. I just take the processor off at the end of the day and forget it. If you have the abutment-type of BAHA there are large groups of BAHA users on Facebook - two of the groups are called "BAHA Users UK" and "BAHA-Bone-Anchored Hearing Aid".

Hi! Thanks for getting in touch. Your bonebridge sounds amazing!

I have the abutment type so I will definitely have a look on Facebook. Don't know why I didn't think to look there before...
