I have a hearing aid from the NHS not sure if it's the same one. Mine has made my life alot better, I can hear everything more clearly. It hasn't made my hearing perfect but it has made both ears about the same. It feels weird at first but you soon get used to it. You can't even see mine when it's in as I don't have a mould in my ear just a tube and a "cone". I hope this helps. (never replied on here before)
Good to have some feedback, thank you both of you xx
I still find it hard to distinguish some sounds and still can't hear what's coming behind me. It still a big improvement though 🌞
I got a cros aid a month ago. I had a hearing aid just on my hearing side before that. I love it. The only downside is at work where they are very noisy and my hearing aid means I am distracted. I am working through management on getting them to be quieter.
I have been using the completely-in-the canal hearing aid from a clinic nearby in Toronto (hearing solutions) that fits deeply inside my ear canal which makes them almost invisible. I was born with moderate hearing loss and got the hearing aids at the age of 10. I have clear speech and seem to understand everything. I would tell everyone whom I meet with hearing loss many stories about other people with hearing loss and push them to get the hearing aid.
