I'm a week ahead of you with recovery and feel great. I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and only have 4 small scars which have all healed up really well! My sleep pattern has been completely mucked up, but I think I've been going to bed too early, which is why I've been waking up at stupid o'clock and struggling to go back to sleep. So I'm going to try staying up later in the hope I will sleep longer. As for spotting, I've found that if I've done too much walking or exercise I have had some spotting, but not too much and it stops after I rest again. Good luck with the rest of your recovery x

That's what tends to happen if I do too much is when it happens

Maybe it's our body's way of reminding us that we're not as fit as we think we are!!

Hi Joolyjoo

I have not had HRT but am starting to get hot flushes at night which wake me up but have just read to cut down on sugar and caffeine intake. Which I am going to try today

It takes a good couple of weeks for the anaesthetic to get out of your system just sleep when you need too. Good luck with your recovery xx

My sleep pattern has been all over the place since my op. But I've got a feeling I've been going to bed too early and so wake up too early in the mornings! The last couple of nights I've gone to bed around midnight and, apart from a couple of brief wake ups & a trip to the toilet, I've slept a lot better! Like Gremlin16 I'm getting a few hot flushes which wake me briefly, but I'm also cutting down on caffeine & sugar to see if they improve!
