Scientific "experiments" about what works using our family-members and friends' anecdotes is also not to be trusted. We can even be wildly wrong about what it is that is actually working to make ourselves well. A hugely complicated subject area. Beware anyone who tries to convince you it's simple (usually followed by a sales pitch for some wonder-product).
Can we get funding to try to replicate this important 20-minute comedy segment about science by Oliver, J. et al. NBC (2016) ?
