Hello olgadimitri when we are hungry our bodies produce ghrelin a metabolic hormone and this can keep us awake as it stimulates our appetite whereas if we are satiated with the right foods then leptin another metabolic hormone is produced which suppresses ghrelin and our appetite and can lead to a much better nights sleep.

It is important to eat the right food for supper as you don't want to go to bed after a big meal and carbs are often the best for an evening snack and much better than chocolate.

Its also good to avoid caffeine before bedtime. I realised this and only drink decaf beverages after I've have my evening meal and sleep much better because of it.

Good luck as we all need a good nights sleep. 😊
