A Feisty domestic goose in the wild...

β€’11 Replies

Hi everyone,

There's a pair of these that have escaped captivity and have been hanging around with the ducks but usually well away from the path.

This morning I came across this one blocking the path and it ran at me hissing so I said hello and crouched down to take its photo, so it came up close and had a good look at me, I photographed it and it let me walk past.

It's a lovely looking bird and I hope it stays free of captivity. 😊

Thanks Debs, once she realised I was harmless all was well. There's some lakes nearby too so I'm hopeful for them. 😊

Where I was drug up there were some "wild" domestic cross Canada geese.

Thats interesting S11m I expect there's a lot of domestic crosses out there and we have some Canadian geese nearby. 😊

Lovely, I have wild Canadian geese fly over my house sometimes. I love hearing the honking sounds they make and the swishing of their wings as they fly across. Ali

Hi Hidden

I'm glad he let you walk past, following his inspection.
