Today I went for a walk in the woods and the last time I was there it was quite over grown with bracken etc but today when I went it was all change and had been severely cut back as you can see from the photos. This has happened mainly since Christmas, so everywhere looked very different and much more open.
It was so cold with icy drizzle but I walked quickly and had dressed appropriately so the only part of me that was cold was my face. It was so invigorating and I really enjoyed it.
Walking for me is a kind of meditation ๐งโโ๏ธ and gives me time to switch off and re energise.
I hope youโve enjoyed your day.

Hi Ali,
I agree about walking being like meditation, when my mind is distracted with the past or the future, I sit quietly and focus on something simple like a leaf and really look at all its features and how all leaves differ slightly. This I find centres me and suddenly Iโm right here right now and when weโre in the present the past is the past and the internal chatter subdues. I can do this sitting quietly in my garden as well and I really like being in the here now...
Iโve strained a leg muscle so have not been going on long walks so am keeping active in other ways. Hence my lack of photoโs of walks.
I love exercise and being in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nature as it is so good for us and in so many ways.
Good advice about magnesium I buy magnesium flakes and dissolve 100g in 100 mil of boiling water let it cool, then spray it on muscles, this morning its lively and sharp and sunny and I want to have a bonfire ๐ฅ so will need a bath after that ๐
Looks like someone has been very busy clearing the paths. Glad you dressed to keep cosy, and that you enjoyed it. I also find walking quite a meditative process.
