Initially after coming out of hospital all I wanted to do was get back to work which I did. That went well and I felt happy assisting others but in the last year I have ‘hit a brick wall’ having being badly discriminated against by an outside organisation and I am not now working, so every day is a massive challenge. All very depressing and frustrating.
So typical of the way ABI & TBI are not properly legulated for even if Sir Chris Bryants private members ABI bill gets through.
Do I go public and involve the media plus the ICO for failure of the organisation to be complaint with GDPR. I am demeaned by the discrimination and need the dishonest and discriminatory large organisation wiping out.
(Last summer I did meet a lady who took HMRC to court and won her case, but she had been employed by them. She did get a substantial payout though, because as she put it; “I had a good lawyer”. )
As my neuro said though in my case, given your determination and positivety that brought you through your medical trauma, you may be better than a reliance on people who dont know as much as you do.
Except I am not a lawyer.
I wish I could take a case for disabilty discrimination forward but am struggling to find anyone who can help ideally on a ‘pro bono’ basis, as I dont have the money for qualified legal assistance.
Has anybody experienced similar and if so how did you tackle it? Did you succeed?
