I have suffered after my subarachnoid haemorrhage 3 years ago and then my 2 more brain surgeries to have a VP shunt fitted for hydrocephalus.i can't do group sessions talking to people but this forum has helped me so much because I read what other people are saying and I can relate to it.knowing I'm not alone in this helps me make sense of it and understand.Anybody who is new to a brain injury and needs help and support please comment on this and just know all us brain injury survivers are here for you.
Other people don't understand because they have not been there.
Anybody who needs support please comment and your brain injury friends will support you.your not alone 😁

Hi I'm very early in recovery stage. Injury happened May 23 and am struggling to accept it all. I just want my old life back but slowly realising that's not gonna happenIt's a very lonely experience even tho I have a very supportive family. This platform has been very informative and helps me realise I am nit alone x
Couldn't agree more ! Mine (SAH) was 11years ago and I still call in most days. Like you I struggle with large groups, but here we just blend in quietly ; no noise or pressure.
.......however, if we did had sound, we could have a resounding chorus of 'I Am What I Am' ! 🙂
