Blood test

Hi,

I had a blood test at the hospital last Saturday. They drew 2 vials of blood. Since the blood test, my cognition has been affected. I also feel very lightheaded. Does anyone know what may have happened?

Thanks!

It's common for some folk to feel dizzy or nauseous after blood tests, often from not eating or drinking plenty of water beforehand.

But the effects should last no longer than a couple of hours so I'm wondering if your symptoms are unrelated to the drawing of blood. Speak with your GP or, even better, with the phlebotomy staff for a medical opinion. Do you have the test results yet ?

Hope it's easily explained & sorted m'love.. x

Thanks Cat! The test results are negative. I'll speak with my GP about it. It's very unusual that the effects have been long lasting.

Hope all is well!

Fingers crossed for a simple explanation of (and an end to) the symptoms.... x
