Carbamazepine advice

Hi the hospital have prescribed me with carbamazepine to help me with my constjt head pain I’ve taken my first one today really didn’t want to even take them as I’m scared of medication but I did take one and now I feel absolutely awful has anyone else been prescribed these plz any advice would be very helpful

Stick with it Leanne ; it's quite common for Carbamazepine (& other meds) to cause unpleasant symptoms for the first couple of weeks whilst it's assimilating. Rejecting an unfamiliar chemical is the body's protective reaction against harm until it eventually proves acceptable.

Hope it'll resolve sooner rather than later and that you'll start benefitting from the treatment. Keep us updated..... Cat x
