Mental health awareness week

Mental health awareness week is ending, it’s been great to be open to help others. This quote here from my book was one of my main fears - unable to talk & not recognising who I am. Mental health needs to be accepted, talked, shared and this is the only way it can improve someone’s life. I have shared my lowest points through Room 23 in the hope that this will help someone else feel they are not alone.

Hi, I am also trying to write a book about my experiences and wondered how did you go about getting published etc? I’d really appreciate any tips.

If you can get a good editor that really helps. I received a lot of rejections as it’s a very competitive market. And also join some author groups on Facebook etc this really helps with questions you may have. Be prepared for your manuscript to be re-edited over 15-20 times x

Try to have some point of difference that will make your book stand out.

I hope this all helps and good luck ! 😊
