After getting the appointment for next July for neurological rehabilitation, I have now spoken to the following: Two different PALS services; local Healthwatch; NHS Improvement; NHS Foundation trust and they all have different answers about getting it sorted/ being offered an alternative hospital/complaining.
I then spoke to the secretary at my GP's. She is forwarding my email to my GP and she has said that he will try and get me an earlier appointment.
Been in floods of tears.
Just feel no one gets how hard it is day to day. It seems no one cares.
Off to see my psychologist in a bit - what happened in hospital nearly four years ago left me with PTSD -took over two years to get that diagnosed. At least the lady I see is actually nice.
Apologies for ranting on.
At least I have my local Headway Christmas meal on Friday.

Thanks for the update Marnie. But please do bear in mind that there's a limit to how much improvement any form of rehab can achieve. Any brain injury leaves lasting issues which we need to acknowledge and accept as our new norm. Respecting our limitations by avoiding certain environments and resting when the need arises, can help to reduce the stress of frustration.
Build on what you can achieve and try to laugh at what you can't,,,,,
I do realize what you said, but I think I should at least be assessed and have a chance to see if I can make any improvements. My physical health has suffered because I haven't been able to manage the severe fatigue and I know OT can advise on that. I just want a chance to get a little bit better.
