I can recommend this course as it is of the highest quality (contains the most well known teachers work in the area of meditation and mindfulness) and the quality is equivalent to anything you would pay for. What you do not get is the in person contact and group support.
As a way to get group support, there is another HealthUnlocked community hub called Couch to Buddha full of people who are interested in meditation. You just click on hub at the top of the screen, and search for a new community and then on the page, select the 'follow' button on the top right.
This course was designed for people who are unable to afford to pay for this tuition and there is a belief that it should be freely available to those most in need.
Before you start the course, as an intro, you may want to watch this 1 hour lecture on
The Transformative Power of Slow, Deep Breathing by Peter Deadman
youtube.com/watch?v=uSJIp-O...
If you wish to skip the intro about 'Chinese perspective on practice" start the video at 24 mins and 30 seconds. This will explain why particularly brain injury survivors can benefit from harnessing breathing to speed up healing.
