Subarachnoid Haemorrhage: can you help NICE develop guidance for the NHS on treating this condition?

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know that the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is developing guidance on subarachnoid haemorrhage caused by a ruptured aneurysm. Headway will be working with us on this guidance too, by helping to shape plans for the guideline, as well as commenting on the draft recommendations once these are ready.

We're looking for people who experienced a subarachnoid haemorrhage caused by a ruptured aneurysm, as well as their unpaid carers, to join the committee that will draft NICE's recommendations for this topic. Having you there will help to ensure the guidance is reflective of the experience and needs of people who have experienced this particular condition.

The recruitment advert is here: nice.org.uk/get-involved/ou...

This explains more about the role, the commitment required and what we can offer to help you take part, including expenses, attendance fees, training, and support. If there are any questions please get in touch by emailing PIPrecruitment@nice.org.uk or calling 0161 870 3020.

Thank-you for reading, and do get in touch with us if you'd like to discuss.

Jess, Public involvement team at NICE

Hi

I had a SAH 2 months ago and would love to input, however the link doesn’t work.

Yep link not working, so I've e-mailed them, you never know we may be able to effect some positive change.

I think we need something proactive from Headway. I've received the automated response and it's link to takes you to Join a Committee, however the list doesn't include subarachnoid haemorrhage.

As this is about how do you effect change in a large organisation, my first encounter with the behemoth hasn't impressed me.

Perhaps others can see some link I've missed
