Hello my dad suffered a major brain injury a three years ago and now relys on a specialist care home looking after him. Long story cut short he now is getting bored and needs more stimulation, he has physio a couple time a week but is limited on his functions. Is there any one who could visit him and do different activities with him once a week ??! A specialist person or group etc I'd love to help him do more.

Sure, does really depend on his capacity and interest, but common stuff is music therapy or stuff like interactive therapy, but again will depend on him, ie his capacity and interest.

I know that Age Concern have a voluntary visitor scheme and there are other organisations. I imagine there would be charges.

But you can stimulate your dad's interest with activities such as jigsaws, music, talking books and collages etc. Or simply reading instalments of books,on subjects which interest him, each time you visit might give him something to look forward to. 😐

In some areas there are different groups run by Headway. I would do some research into it. It might be possible to get help to pick him up and take him there?
