Hi everyone. Do any of you with BI use the Alexa thingys? Thinking of trying one for hubby to help with reminders etc?

Does he like technology? I do so I use shared calendar/notes/reminders across my phone/tablet/computers, I always did to a extent but now I rely heavily on it.
I suupose what I mean is these things only work if people use them. If it’s a chore it doesn’t happen.
Morning after being forced to change my phone from BlackBerry to a Samsung I found Google is the only one that understands me even when my voice gets tired I now rely on her as typing on a smart phone and remembering to do things, it is impossible but she can access parts of my phone I find impossible to find from the torch to appointments! just don't ask her if she works for the F B I !!!
Is it snowing where you are ? Happy holidays
Lou
Hi,
I've had an Alexa for a year now and aside from the amusement factor, huge choice of radio stations ( bluegrass FM for me ). The encyclopedic knowledge, she plays virtually any music that you've bought on amazon, ( very handy ) she can call friends/ relatives that have one.
Yes, she can do reminders and alarms but she's getting new skills all the time, she can do 10x the things that she could do when I had her.
It's only now and then she miss hears you, as long as you talk clearly she's fine.
I personally am very pleased I had her.
Hi! Thanks for everyone's reply. Hubby didn't really like technology before bi so I'm not sure how successful it would be. I'll have a think. We had a little snow here. We are near the Lake District on the Cumbrian coast so we tend to get a flurry but it doesn't stay long. Very frosty tho! Happy holidays to you all too. Much love. X
