Hi heyjo & welcome ! I had a SAH in Dec 2011 but I've never heard of a 'negative' one 'til now. I tried to research it on Google but, honestly, I can't make head or tail of it.

Something which kept coming up was that a negative SAH has a better prognosis than an aneurismal SAH but the rest is incomprehensible to me. Do you know know the difference ?? x

Hi heyjo.

I had my SAH in 1998 at the age off 32.

Mine was caused by a Brain AVM that was something that I was born with.

Since then the little bl--er has keep coming back.

The little "devil" has picked on the wrong person.

I will never give in so I say to it: "Come On if You Think You Are Big Enough"

The chronic pain/bladder problems have knocked me off my feet.

But I will be back belive me !!!!

Please let me know if I can help ???

Steve.

Thanks Steve49 for mentioning your experience sounds like you have a good outlook on it !

Mine was a 'negative SAH' so no obvious cause and hard to pinpoint in brain.I'm only really suffering fatigue and emotionally a little fragile. Have to limit activities as become overwhelmed quite quickly !

The after-effects of any brain injury, whether spontaneous or from impact, have many similarities. Your SAH is so very recent yet I'm getting the impression you've been discharged from hospital already. I was hospitalised for 2 months and it took 6 weeks for me to learn to walk again so I'm guessing you have many challenging issues still ?

Can you tell us some more about how long you were hospitalised and what your after-effects are ? xx

not in hospital long cat3 4 days for negative sah but struggling with fatigue a bit and also as no obvious outward signs but told to rest for 3 months - which brings its own difficulties lol cant sit still but have too !
