OFF TOPIC! Uplifting words
I like.As far as people not looking at things in the way you do goes - that's what makes us all unique : )
A good one Matt :-). That dreaded cough I've had for months now has now caused me to have a damaged voice box.I went the docs yesterday afternoon. So no more Opera singing for me
....Not really i cant sing for toffee lol!
I always struggle to sing with a mouth full of toffee
I've often been paid lots of money for my singing..... usually to STOP!
Lol.I know the feeling its not singing in the shower but making it rain!
When I had the cold. I felt kind of rotten for about a week and had a cough that wouldn't go away afterwards. I still have the cough now but it feels like it is on its way out now.
I got a root of ginger yesterday, I should have used the ginger weeks ago really but ginger is good for coughs. I was using ground ginger but that doesn't work as well.
So how do you take the ginger-in a drink mixed?
You can grate the ginger first if you like, but if it is the root, you have to peel it first. Alternatively you can use a spoon. Just scrape and scrape the peel off and do the same to the actual ginger. Scrape off ginger until you have enough, a small amount will do, and top with hot water.
Put some honey in it if you like.
Mmmmh! I'm confused.... again! Perhaps I'm not as smart as I thought I was
You seem to be going through a very deep and philosophical phase at the moment Matt. Is that just a rebound to re-instate your creditability after your 'Disco Fever' weekend
"A very deep and philosophical phase". What do you mean by that?
Hi Matt,
Well the last couple of piccs and words from elswhere have a 'zen' quality to them.
Hope you cold and cough are eassing up or gone now. I know the bug that's been around this area has been a bit of sod to get rid of, some have still got tickly cough for month or more after.
Gonna have to check your 'off topic' page. Been a bit distracted lately with quite a bit going on, neuropsyc assesments, follow ups, neuropsyc rehab sessions looming and speech therapy going on.
STill how's the weather doing down there is Gosport, hope the extra high tides they said were about at the weekend didn't get your tooties wet.
Not a fan of ginger but I do know it's pretty effective.
All the bestest
Geoff
Hi Geoff,
Ah, the zen quality.
Yes, the cough/cold is going now. I have just had a ginger drink, you can use turmeric instead. I was snorting out a bit of mucus through my nose but that seems to have subsided a bit. I think I have a bit on my chest still, that is what is causing the coughing.
I don't think Gosport experienced any high tides, at least I never saw any :).the weather is kind of gloomy today and a bit wet. Similar to yesterday actually.
What is the weather like in Bath?
Take care,
MJ
Hi Matt,
Grey and miserable first thing but sun now trying to break through but still pretty overcast.
Haven't heard of turmeric for colds but I use it to flavour up my home made parsnip soup. Not on menu for today. Tonight its chicken thighs with something, not sure what, but got to find some decent rest time in the day because my 4 yr old granddaughter is here for tea tonight and just 5 mins of her energy will smack me flat quicker than running away from a tiger lol
I quite like parts of Gosport, it's just a shame about the rest of it, the industrial and military bit.
Suns gradually pushing harder to get through the grey.
You brother not been back to reclaim his room yet ot have you put security doors up?
All the bestest
Geoff
Pretty similar weather then, only you have more sun, lucky git haha.
Turmeric is from the same family as gingers. I use ground turmeric usually but I expect the root would work lots better.
Some parts of Gosport is OK but for me, it is mainly a lot of the people who live in Gosport that ruin it. A lot of ignorant, up there own arse type of people :).
Nope, my brother has not come back to reclaim his room, he would be too late as well, I have bolted it up tight haha.
Take care,
MJ
Let me guess those up their own rectum peeps usually live in those posh flats down on the water front looking out over the harbour.
Glad to hear you've upped your security arrangements, suitable artwork on the outside I hope
Keep on boogying
Geoff
Actually, thee people that think they are all thatand a bag of potato chips are most people in Gosport, snobby or scum who live in coucil flats haha
The member BSA/Ben lives in Gosport and he lives nearer the coast than I do so are you saying he is one of those snobby types haha.
I haven't really bolted up my room, I was just playing along :).
I usually do the boogying once a year. Me, my mum and some friends go away to Warner Leisure Hotels in Hayling Island. It was mine and my mum's first time last yeear and we loved it there. They had a Rolling Stones tribute band last year, they were brilliant. This was the motown theme. Wonder what next year will be... If we get invited to go that is.
Take care,
Mj
Hope it's NOT the Bay City Rollers! Glam Rock would be fun or Rocky Horror (if it's Rocky Horror please, please, please Matt DON'T I repeat DON'T post the pics)
Perhaps I'd best appologise here and now to B_S_A/Ben now a bit quick before he tracks me down.
Not all who live posh are bad. I've met a few celebs at private parties and back stage and they are usually far nicer people than their public press and profiles say they are.
Take care
GB, Honest my Initials (first n second)
Ooooo I sense controversy
Where I live is nice, and next to the sea! So no complaints from me. I wouldn't describe anywhere in Gosport as snobby though...there's just nowhere nice enough!
I love the place though, who doesn't love home?
What about those posh flats down by the waterfront with the glass balconies and TV celebs in residence? Think they were on an old Naval site.
Before I lost my licenses I delivered many loads of bricks, road pavers and concrete blocks there in a 44 tonne artic. They were supposed to be for the rich and famous (the flats that is not the bricks and blocks n stuff).
Couldn't agree more that everyone loves home but also home is where the heart is
Sometimes we don't fully appreciate the town we live in but since talking with tourists to our town I take a different view of it.... too many empty shops, expensive car parking.... the people are nice though, especially me lol. After all if it wasn't for my excessive modesty I'd be perfect
