OFF TOPIC! Caricature #8
Hahaha Gordon Brown springs to mind
Don't recognise this scary fellow ; the nearest contender for me is Cyril Smith but the eyebrows are different.
Hi Matt
I got to agree with Cat that Ciril Smith is first thought but there is someone else that's in my head somewhere but at moment just can't find. Frustrating cause being as overweight as this guy would seem to be I'd of thought he'd have been big enough to find easy lol
Well, you're all wrong so far.
I've got to say though that some parts of this caricature are much more exagerrated.
That is what I like about caricatures is the cartoon-look while exagerrated features. I try to draw my own and they don't always come out the way I want/picture them in my head.
I'm not saying I didn't draw this one because I did but I. Copied this picture from the internet, along with the other caricatures, apart from the David Coulthard one. That was an attempt of my own caricature that could have come out looking a lot better.
I'll give a clue though. This guy is an actor. I don't know what he looks like now so I don't know if he really is quite big or if he is just highly exagerrated in that picture :).
I'm going to say Bobby George, although I thought it could be John Prescott? Oops, am I only allowed one guess?
Who'snows'.. I don't 'snow'.
sorry Matt but its coming tonight lol !!
seriously I've a feeling this is a woman am i right?
Cant be you said guy
Snow is coming tonight! What area are you in? It is rather chilly at the mo.
That's it is a guy, so your serious thought was wrong :).
Started just.Shropshire on the edge of Staffordshire. Supposed to be snowing from 7 tonite till am. Not expecting to go anywhere tomorrow!
Ah, you are a bit more in-land than moi. I am a coastal boy :). You would have more chance of snow than me. We'll probably get frost and that is it haha.
If it does snow here then I hope it buggers off by tomorrow morning haha cos I am going out tomorrow :).
I don't like going out in the snow.
Staffordshire, that is where those dogs come from haha.
My friend used to own a bull terrier, lovely dogs.
I wont drive in the snow.Yes Staffordshire terriers are ok if they've been bought up and trained properly in the right hands but many of the owners are irresponsible with them as you see on the television.
If I drove a car, I think I would avoid the icy roads too.
Ah yes, irresponsible ownership leading to poorly behaved dogs. It's similar with people too. There are some rough kids around who have such a horrible vocabulary. Katy Price was one of those kids :).
It's a shame cos if those types of kids had decent, loving parents, they would more than likely be lovely people.
I know what you mean Matt
I see a definite and strong similarity with Steven Seagal?
Well, it is good you had that similarity because Steven Seagull... Seagal, is the answer :). Well done :).
well i would never have guessed that one
I don't know who the original cartoonist is but they got it horribly wrong. Cartooning is supposed to emphasise/exaggerate a person's dominant features but as Steven Seagal has only a slight double chin . . . . . . . . . no more than most men of his age, this depiction is nonsense.
No reflection on your own artistic ability Matt which, as always. is brilliant.
Have a look at images of Seagul from youth up to present day & you'll see what I mean.
I had a look at some more up-to-date pictures of Steven Seagull... Seagal :).
The original cartoonist has definitely over exagerrated his chin/throat.
Like you say, caricatures are supposed to be exaggerated but not exactly over exaggerated.
Well, I copied what I saw and thanks for commenting my art again :). I'm glad my drawing looks like the caricature that looks nothing like Steven Seagal haha :).
I struggled when I first saw the picture as the chin is so big and it makes him look quite obese, I don't know if he is a big guy now but he certainly did not look like that in the 90s :).
It was the eyes that gave it away for me.
