I had a bleed on the brain cause by the use of warfarin. I am now expierencing throbbing on the top of my head can you help with the reason
Hi rebel - welcome to HW,
I'm on KARDEGIC in France, same effect as Warfarin - stops blood thickening/thins it down. I Take 1 sachet daily but was only put on it for 1st time since since my Aneurysm/Brain Haemorrhage Mar 2013.
My OH was put on K also after he had triple bypass here 2008 and had no problems taking it - his family has a history of hart probs.
Have you a similiar problem also? My neuro surgeon told me to avoid stress - that may have contributed to my Bleed.
Have you been tols definitely that Warfarin caused the brain bleed? Why are you on it?
As to your head throbbing, that I don't know an answer to - have you spoken to your Doctor about it?

Dear rebel123,
Thank you for your post.
It is not uncommon for people to experience throbbing or other similar sensations after a brain injury. Do you have a specialist you could ask about it? If not, then going to see your GP might be a good idea.
If at any point you begin to feel unwell, or that your symptoms are getting worse, then you could call the NHS 111 Service (which replaced NHS Direct) as they can give you an assessment over the phone and suggest next steps. More information about the service is here: nhs.uk/NHSEngland/AboutNHSs...
We hope that this information helps. Any problems, do get back to us.
Best wishes,
Headway
