Morning Tessah. Your post is very short, but just to let you know, my husband had a burst aneurysm in October last year, followed by a sub arachnoid haemorrhage and stroke, leaving him with left sides weakness too.

I would be happy to help in any way possible, please let me know.

Take care, Molly x

Hi Karl. There is support out there, but its a fight to get it sometimes. We have found that a lot depends on where you are in the country. We moved from Yorkshire down to the Midlands a few months ago, and have found that we have much more support down here. My husband has benefitted greatly from attending a fantastic Day Centre run by Headway, and it has definitely given him a lot more confidence and encouragement. Physio has also been a great help to him, he still has some left sided weakness, and his mobility is still poor, but he has recently begun to use his walker much more, and the wheelchair much less, so there are great achievements all the time. Our new GP has been very helpful too, referring him for neuro psychology and neuro re hab appointments, although they take forever to come through. We are 16 months down the line now, and as everyone will tell you it is a long, slow road to recovery but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep pushing for help, don't sit back and hope it comes to you. Headway are fantastic, and will point you in the right direction. All the very best, and keep in touch. Regards, Molly
