At the end of the day and meant in the nicest possible way. He thought it is a respectful response to his friends and others who have read his blogs or comments to just leave a small message.

He had already announced that he was going to be taking a break and then posted again telling us that he was going to be taking a break ...that is why I didn't think any special update was required. If he wanted to post another message that he was taking a break then he could have done himself so rather than have someone else leave a small message in order to "be respectful..."
If things had suddenly become difficult and he took an essential break and was concerned that people would worry that is different altogether ...I am sure we would all be concerned if a member suddenly dropped out of sight without any warning and we would all be glad for the update... but this has been a planned break and well announced. Sorry if that ruffles feathers or affects the sensibilities of others but that is how I feel.
