Limor, first off, sorry about the H&H. I have it, it is awful.

For me, my flare-ups were almost always present, and it started to affect my day to day activities, to the point I couldn't walk normal and called into work. After steroid ointments, that didn't do much at all when flared up; my dermatologist offered acid dermal abrasion or laser dermal abrasion. The laser is a step above the acid, in intensity and cost;

For me, the botox treatment would have been more effective at control sweat production which helps cause a flare-up; than it would to actually stop the skin from breaking down.

So I went the acid route, with the laser waiting if needed. The acid abrasive technique (which chemically burns a very thin layer of skin so it grows back more callous, thus resulting in tougher; more flare-up resistant skin over time. ) I did around 14 rounds every 3 weeks. It wasn't quick or 100% effective, or very comfortable but it did bring down the problematic area to a much smaller size, with less frequent and less severe flare-ups and a quality of life I hadn't experienced in years.

Overall all, I would do it again, because the acid treatment although a bit painful but more uncomfortable was nothing compared to the constant flare-ups I was getting in a very delicate spot on the male body.

Hi handhintexas!

So sorry to read what u wrote. Unloucky me, i know yr condintsion from myself.

I was treated by Photo dinamic therspy, 33 treatments, almost 3 hours of burning my skin without any a local sleeping to the areas. Helped for about a year. I m in condition that i cant work becoz of my opened wounds, cant almost function.

The only thing that helps a bit is a soloution, "carbon fuxin" , "sol castellani". Its an old version of iron. Keeps me not being hospitalize coz of infaction.

I hv to wait till december till the botox.

Altough no person's body like the other, i m a bit optimistic to read its better then the flare ups.

Hope u wont hv to chose anymore, whats better and just feel good!

P.s
