Hello I have hailey hailey & have for 13 yes & still no thing helps I have it in 4 places at moment & thus flare up lasted a whole year still have pain every day waiting for skin specialist app been on antibiotics fir year steroids make me sick can’t win , I have tried all creams steroid & not nothing helps

All area must stay dry.I use single ply tp on areas.it' lot cheaper than bandages

Some antibodies can give you fevers wich make you sweat causing skin to break down it plasticities

I have been taking fluxacillin antibiotics for a year no help. My 2nd app with sin specialist is last option I try to keep dry but armpit & neck groin are impossible I’ve had every steroid cream Thanks for your reply how long have you had hailey hailey?

Over the years I have figured out things to do for HHD that have worked for me. Antibiotics seem to only help for short periods of time. Every other day I soak in a bath with 1/2 cup of bleach, and apply Desitin (look for Desitin that has 40% zinc oxide) to affected areas. Zinc oxide is a drying agent, plus the Desitin is fairly thick and helps my skin from further breaking apart. I havent had to see my dermatologist in almost 2 years since I started my own treatment. I hope you will find this helpful!

Hi Karenhjm... "Calcipotriene .005% and Betamethasone Dipropianate.064%" is the only medicine that helps me, unfortunately, is very expensive.

Hi. I’ve been on antibiotics for 1/2 year for continuous infections. Saw new Derm & stopped antibiotics and taking bleach baths (1/2 cup bleach to 1/2 tub and Neosporin twice a day. Huge improvement!

I have had the disease ( I call it the adult diaper rash. May as well laugh about it if not then you get depressed) for years and the only relief I get is with the steroid Triamcinolone Acetonide cream( not the salve it is too heavy and messy) and when I start to have sever pain I know that it is getting a secondary infection.So I use a soap called hribiclen ( chlorhexidine gluconate solution on the area.I do not rub the area I just pour the solution on a washcloth and hold it on the sore area .It helps a lot to kill the infection on the skin . Then I apply a thing coat of the steroid cream. If that doesn't work then it is on to a dose of antibiotics . These are all from my dermatologist .I am only telling you what works for me and to give you an idea of something to ask your doctor about .
