Hello,I will start by saying I don't yet have any diagnosis. I've tried to find a general gynaecology group on here but can't find one.
Back in October, not long after ovulation I had abnormal bleeding. There was most blood on the day it started (only visible when wiping) and then there was smaller amounts of spotting on and off until my period.
The almost identical thing then happened in November and December. I've had a few other symptoms, some pain in my lower back, abdominal area and some discomfort around my vagina.
I had been planning to make a GP appointment in January after the Christmas period. I was assuming it was something hormone related as it was happening at the same time in my cycle each time.
However, my period ended 3 days ago and I have continued to have pain and spotting (red/pink) since. This has sent me into complete panic as it does not match the pattern and has made more serious things, such as cervical cancer, seem more likely.
I will be making a GP appointment but I am now very frightened.
Does anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences to share?
I am 33, no children.
Thank you.

I sort of experienced something similar. I went through my ovulation and a few days later started bleeding. I was worried at first because I wasn’t due my period for another 11 days and my cycles are pretty regular and on time. The bleeding was light to start with and then got heavier, and lasted about 4-5 days. I put it down to my period coming early. It’s thrown me off a little bit, I’m now waiting to se if I will start my period again in a few days time. I have the Flo app which helps me track everything. I’m here if you need to talk, I was worrying about everything at first, but I was putting it down to hormone imbalance maybe! I was going to wait to see if my cycle picks up again and go from there.
Hi Evie,You are doing the right thing making a gp appointment make sure when you make it tell receptionist your worry to ensure being seen in a good time frame. Many are medically trained and understand the concerns you will have.
I would advise write down all symptoms, monthly cycle what helps or makes your symptoms worse as we can all forget to tell the gp at the time because we obviously are stressed.
Try not to worry could be a polyp/fibriod or something else but you will be on the road to getting diagnosed and well again and be proactive for yourself.
