hi just seen this add on to my usual h/u log in.
Well as above my name is Alexa and my journey began in 2020 when l had an unexpected bleed at the age of 74.
My first surgeon didn’t take me seriously when l told him l had a post meno haemorrhage which to be blunt kept me on the loo for almost half an hour.
Eventually l was called for a partial hysterectomy by that team and they found l had a 19 mil engorged lining which had been reported a year earlier as being 1.9 mil, thus putting me on the not at risk list. The second surgeon told me that at some stage along the way someone had inserted the decimal point.
After 4 months recovery period l was back in hospital for the completion of the hysterectomy.
l have now just begun my 5 year watch and wait regime of 3 monthly checks, unless that is l have a *show* of any kind in which case l am to telephone them immediately.
If ANYONE around my age group has symptoms akin to mine, PLEASE, don’t get fobbed off with a wishy washy outcome to your first gynae appointment.
STAY WELL, Alexa
