Hi there - I went for an ultrasound scan for a bump that appeared on the RH side of my groin (on the lymph node of the mons pubis). The radiologist said it was maybe a hernia (an inguinal hernia) but unsure. I am worried about this and worried incase its something else as its hard and pretty much part of the lymph node. Are there any medical professionals on here that would be able to help gage the difference between a hernia, a cyst and anything else?

Hi there, Thank you for your message. We're sorry to hear that you're feeling worried about this, but it's totally understandable to feel concerned when you're trying to get an answer about something like this. We aren't able to diagnose/confirm something like this via HealthUnlocked or our Ask Eve service - apologies for that. It needs to be the healthcare professionals seeing you in person/the team at the hospital looking after you to be the ones to give you the answers to whether it's a cyst or hernia.
If there's anything else we can help with however, we're always available on nurse@eveappeal.org.uk
Best Wishes,
The Ask Eve Team
