I'm feeling so blessed to find this group... I had Vulvar Cancer in 2019 and I had a secondary cancer in the lymph nodes of my pelvis.
As I know you know, the treatment was harrowing! 26 treatments of Radiotherapy and 5 rounds of Chemotherapy. My skin looked like a burns victim.
It's been a long road, but I'm healing and I am coming out of the other side.
I'm still here and putting a positive foot forward!
And I'm shining a light for others... I know how dark going through something like we have been through can be and so last year whilst shielding from Covid, I started my own business making Scented soy canldes. I feel like I am sending out little boxes of happiness!
So that out of something terrible comes something good 🙏
Would love to know... What is the light you have found in your darkness?

Hi Bear70Thankyou for your thought provoking question. My cervical cancer treatment in 2017 has left me with long term and life changing side effects (lymphoedema and neurogenic bladder) which led me to retiring, earlier than planned. The light in my darkness has been a drive to try and do what I can to help pave the way for a better future in terms of cervical cancer diagnosis and care for the type of long term side effects I have.
Love your answer. I feel like I have been given a second chance at life. If you would like to know more about my candles here is my link wwwEtsy.com/uk/shop/petitoiseaugifts
I would love to learn more about your candle making business. Much peace and hope to you and your recovery: I’m glad that you made it through and have been courageous enough to push forward while sharing light for others along the way.
