Had total hysterectomy 27 months ago for grade 1 uterine and ovarian cancer. Everything been good until 2 days ago when I started with a heavy vaginal discharge which is slightly green in colour. I am 65. I have also got bad lower back pain. 10 days ago I had a 6 monthly hospital check up and was told everything seemed fine. Any advice please

Hi,

Thank you for getting in touch with the Ask Eve service.

It is certainly reassuring that you had a check up 10 days ago and everything seemed fine .

We suggest that you go to your GP and get and describe your symptoms; they are likely to take a swab of the discharge to identify its cause ( possible infection, vaginal thrush ) .

If you would like to talk to our info nurse specialist Tracie about this in a bit more detail, and in confidence, please do email us on nurse@eveappeal.org.uk and she can arrange a time to talk to you.

Best Wishes,

Team Eve
