Hi. Thank you for reading. I have been taking 150mg of PTU daily split into two doses of 7mg. My T4 is 10 range 10-22
And T3 is 10 range 2-6.
I still feel sooo hot. Fan on beside the bed all day and night. Has anyone else been close to the range but still been hot? I thought this would have subsided by now. I am 48. Ugh. Just over it. I have insomnia as well.
What is worth knowing is I had an accident on 29 November 2020 where I fell and landed on my head and since then have had the insomnia since that day. Never had insomnia before and my blood was crazy high at T4 84 range 10-22 and
T3 45.7 range 2.0-6.0
Just wondered if anyone else still felt hot just out of range. Thank you NIKEGIRL 😊

Hello, I first want to say I'm a first year medical student at a UK university and I suffer from hyperthyroidism and tend to get hot from time to time, and I have been told this is common.
From reading your post, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling this way. However, looking at your age, it could also be the nature of menopause. Hot flushes and difficulty sleeping are common symptoms. Please refer to the NHS website and consult a GP/ your consultant if you are really concerned.
If you have a diagnosis of Graves Disease and don' t know of Elaine Moore you might like to dip into her work on this poorly understood and badly treated auto immune disease.
She has written several books and also her Graves Disease Foundation website which I understand has a world wide following.
Hello. Thank you for looking at my post. This has crossed my mind. What has complicated matters is that I had an accident on 29 November 2020 and received a concussion. I literally landed head first. Before the accident I was hot. Hot all the time. This was my second Graves symptom. My first being a tremor. From the day of the accident I have not slept and had insomnia. It is hard. I think the people who are in charge of my care are doing a good job but I also think they are tunnel visioned. I also have trauma from doctors and the hospital. I do not think this is the driver for the insomnia. All I can say is I am extremely hot ALL the time. No breaks in feeling hot just hot all the time. No issues with sleep before this accident. It’s just weird.
Sorry meant to say. I feel hot all the time. It doesn’t come and go. It’s 24 hours a day 7 days. No flushes just constant. It’s the only symptom I have left and it’s affecting my mental health and sleep
