Hi, I have had graves disease and a gioter for 13 years now. Luckily my eyes not affected. I've joined here to answer any questions to newly diagnosed people, as it can be scary at first. It's not all doom and gloom 🙂

A bit about me: Luckily so far, carbimazole 5mg has worked well. I started on 8 a day and a beta blocker. After a year I went down to one a day. Now I'm on one every second day and may never have to get my thyriod out. As long as I have no side affects which I have not so far.

I was diagnosed at 40. I'm now 53.

My Question is there anyone else out there that's been on carbimazole for many years and how's it working out for you.

Any questions for me. Go for it ;)
