The winter solstace or shortest day is usually the 21st but because we have leap years, the year before a leap year it is on the 22nd. Next year is a leap year and the next year that the solstace will be on the 22nd is 2015.

Hope you all had a great gluten free Christmas....I managed four full days of joyous eating with no reactions whatsoever on my first gluten free holiday..success!!!. As a super sensitive celiac that is quite an achievement. ....all the best my friends for 2012
