Asda, Tesco, Waitrose and morrisons all do a great range of GF products and a lot of stores will even try to stock more if asked.

Thank you for the info I really appreciate it. I was getting a bit frustrated with the little i have been purchasing at Sainsbury's.

Most supermarkets in the UK sell a selection of branded gluten free foods and more and more supermarkets are producing their own brand free from ranges as well. Marks & Spencers food are very good at marking their products as 'gluten free' so its a bit easier to shop there although their focus is on ready meals.

Thank you!

There's also Health food shops which stock gf foods, Asian shops usually stock many naturally gf flours like rice flour and gram flour which's also known as: chickpea flour, garbanzo flour, or besan.

Chinese shops sell tapioca starch and often have a range of noodles made with tapioca.

If there's anything specific you want just ask and we'll see if we can help.

the best is definitely Waitrose, then Morrisons. M & S were awful, even their stuff that should have been naturally GF wasn't. Now they have a small range but nothing special.

M&S have a very large range of GF products in their mainstream range including sausages and burgers. They also do GF breaded chicken, Cod and a number of other snack products and have GF symbols on the front of their packaging.

They also make a range of GF sandwiches, although they are not stocked in every store - there is a list on their site of which stores stock them.

They also have a Facebook page and quickly responded to my feedback, and have also new products foods off the back of user suggestions

Some of their GF Sweet treats are not cheap but absolutely delicious.

I have an online link to a 49 page document listing every one of their products which is Gluten Free, I am trying to dig the link out for you and will post it when I find it (I downloaded the document).

Waitrose also offer a good range of products including GF Sandwiches, unfortunately, I don't have one near enough to me to be practical to use on a regular basis.

Tesco have an ever growing range of "Free From" products, their seeded brown bread is lovely, as is their spaghetti, muffins and pitta bread.

Most of the supermarkets also stock some of the Dietary Specials range

Asda will make up pizza's for you using the DS Pizza bases - you get 6 toppings for the price of 4 and they are a mighty fine treat.

I do most of my shopping in M&S now, and not found one of their products claiming to be GF to be incorrect - and we use Tesco and Asda for some non-meat products.

Contact any of the main high street stores and they (usually) can supply you with a list of all their gluten-free products. It should be pointed out however, when I recieved my cpy, a couple of years ago from Tescos, it listed everything without gluten...including napkins, catfood, and foil. Gluten-free they maybe, but tasty they are not!

Remember in the UK everything 'should' be gluten free unless it is listed in the ingredients or a warning is printed on the packaging. Saying this is often very hard to find, or apparently missing. Check an individual products webpage, send them an E-mail. or phone them.

Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer is my fav discovery of the year.

Best of luck!

I think it depends where you live which supermarket stocks the best range of g/f products. Our local Sainsburys is by far the best, but they all offer different products. Unfortunately although we have a Tesco 6 miles away they redid the store & I now find it impossible to shop in so can't comment on their range. You can also get quite a variety of g/f food on-line.

Marks and Spencer`s also do a wonderful range ,but be be prepared ,they will not stay in your cupboard for long ,I am on my second packet of mince pies and I have already eaten the Christmas cake I brought, the rolls are good and seeded bread ,they also do 2 ready made sandwiches a chocolate cake you would not believe could taste sooooo delicious popped in microwave for a couple of seconds add some whipped cream and it taste like nothing you will ever taste that is Gluten and wheat free ,they also do premium sausages, and many other products that are g/w free ask their head office for a list, and then sit back and enjoy ,

If you are diagnosed as a Coeliac, you can register with a GP and should be able to obtain some food via prescription. You can then go on the Coeliac website and obtain suppliers, also if you join Coeliac UK, you pay an annual fee but are supplied full access to their website and receive annually a small book listing all the prescription items, and all supermarket gluten free products. I use Juvela Fresh Bread, obtained via script, it is lovely. Good luck...

M & S may have a good range of GF food but it depends where you live. My M & S do not do GF sandwiches and have very little else
