I can recommend Alara Delight Gluten Free Organic Muesli and Gluten Free Muesli with Goji Berries & Cranberries Organic. Available from good healthshops but I order online from amazon grocery section.

Another good one is Eat Natural Toasted Muesli Buckwheat, available in tescos, sainsburys and asdas.

If you like porridge, as I do, Tesco's own g.f. porridge oats I think are the best. I've tried Nairn's etc. but always come back to Tesco's.

THE BEST BEST BEST cereal - which has won awards and filling, is Doves Farm BUCKWHEAT. it's better than all the cornflakes. I have mine with lactose free milk, and it keeps me going for hours. I also snack on them in the car, if peckish. No funny tums ot anything, infact calms my tum - I love it. It's about £2.50 a box, but make sure you get the Buckwhereat Doves Farm one.

I make my own granola each week...delicious and never the same twice! It is very filling. about 5-6 heaped dessert spoons with skimmed milk keeps me going 'til lunch.

Put oven on about 200 degrees C. Put 1 to 2 table spoons of olive oil and about the same of clear honey in a large mixing bowl (I err on the low side to keep the calories low but the more you put the more crunchy lumps of cereal you will get instead of little, separate flakes). Add a flat teaspoon of cinnamon and a flat table spoon of hulled millet. Add gf rolled oats and stir until the oats darken and clump slightly. You can stop at more clumps if you prefer. Chop a 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup of what ever unsalted nuts you have and stir in thoroughly. Spread the mixture out in 1 or 2 large roasting tins or similar. I put baking parchment or a Teflon baking sheet in my tins first. Put in oven and stir about every 5 to 8 mins. until the whole mixture is evenly toasted. This takes about 20 mins. Take out of oven to cool. When cold add 2 handfuls of sultanas and other chopped dried fruit. Lidl do a mixed bag of apricots, peaches, prunes, apples and pears of which you can chop a different couple each week. Keep in an airtight container. Enjoy and hide from the rest of the family or you will be for ever making new batches.

Be careful to avoid any cereals with barley in them as many coeliacs will react poorly to them.

Rather than repeat old answers it's also worth looking on this thread on breakfast ideas as it generated a lot of discussion: glutenfreeguerrillas.health...

Hi, everyone. Just thought I would update you on my breakfast cereal dilemma. I am at the moment trying Nairns instant porridge oats. They are just like the real thing. I tried the doves farm corn flakes but I didn't like them as I like my cornflakes with hot milk which turned them into a gluey consistency. I am staying which the porridge for the moment. Thank you all for your suggestions.
