I have some of the syptoms of cd

I have had lots of tests over the past 8 years but dont know if tested for cd, I thought I would try a glutten free diet to see if it helps.

Can anyone tell me (if it is cd) how long before I would notice a difference, mainly tiredness, bloating etc

Hi Dave,

I was diagnosed 6 months ago and within days of starting the GF Diet I felt much less bloated and uncomfortable after meals. Althoug beware because I personally think a lot of people would feel less bloated if they stopped eating white bread for instance. With regards tiredness I have only just started to feel a bit less tired - this seems to have been down to vitamin D3 supplements my GP recomended. My blood tests did show I was at the lower end of the Vitamin range but the doctor said take them anyway.

I would grab the bull by the horns and suggest a CD blood test in the first instance - I had to suggest this to my doctor. That is the only way to know. Just remember though don't start eating GFree until you have a blood test otherwise the results won't be relaible.
