Gluten Free abroad

I am shortly going to be travelling to Prague - just a few days holiday - and I am worried about eating out over there?? I have looked at a site which tells you the restaurants that have a GF option but they are mainly Chinese, Indian and Italian!! I would really like to eat in the 'back street' type of restaurant serving local food - has anyone done this and if so, any recommendations? We are going with friends and I really don't want to limit their menu choices.

Hi there, I'd check these travel cards out and save celiactravel.com/cards/

And save this on your phone:

I hope you have a great holiday. 😊

Went there about 18months ago & didn’t have any issues, but do take a travel card thing with you just in case. Try & stick to local eateries as the locals eat a lot of meat & veg. My favourite was a restaurant just off the main square - sorry can’t remember the name - where I would have lamb chops with pickled cucumber & coleslaw, delicious! I stayed away from the more touristy restaurants. As you are looking at the fairy tale castle in the main sq, it was in a side road to the top left, if that makes sense! Some places have gf cakes, but not many & the ones I had weren’t worth the calories. I never went hungry tho somyou should be fine. Have fun!

Thank you, I shall take your 'directions' with me and see if I can discover the place you mean
