Just wondering whether anyone else has had a private message from a member asking them to email them privately. I have had 2 messages from the same member in the last day who has not posted on the site yet. I haven't written to them as i didn't know whether it was some sort of scam

Hi tmoxon, I would not email someone who out of the blue sent me a private message asking me to email them. To me if someone has something to say then they will say it rather asking you to contact them.
So I'd report this to admin or directly to the HU team as this might be happening on other HU sites. To report just click on Help on the heading and then just click on ''email us'' under more help right hand side menu.
And don't worry as you've done the right thing flagging this up and it could well all be innocent. So lets see what happens next.
Hi Jerry many thanks for the advice I have sent admin an email regarding this. It did seem a bit strange that they were asking me to email them when they could talk via the messages on this site if they wanted.
The reason i asked the question on the public forum was to ascertain whether others were receiving the same message.
I got a note like that and asked on the site back to the sender "What's up?" Heard nothing since then. What other note did you get from this same person? Made me nervous.
Hi I have copied the message I received below, I did contact the admin team and they responded very quickly and advised that they had removed the person.
Hi, please I want to talk to you privately. Please respond to my private email, (private email was here ) it is very important. I'll be waiting to read from you.
