Wow tough question without much detail. Vodka is a good as it is gluten free. Scotch also . Be careful of Cola can be a problem. Bot not much more I can say.

Scotch whisky is not gluten free and vodka is often made with grains and can cause severe reactions. Irish whiskey is triple distilled and causes me no problems. There are mixers out there without too many additives but you need to read labels carefully as i know to my cost! Red wine ok white wine gives me a reaction. Trial and error i guess!

Hi Blrowland, you may have to be careful with Scottish (and other) whiskies as some of them use caramel or other colouring, I believe, to achieve that 'amber' colour. I would imagine you may have to approach the producers of whichever drink you fancy to find out exactly what goes into them. I'm not sure how specific they have to be on their labels as to what goes into the product. Good Luck! :)

I too have many allergies to preservatives etc, i have been ok with cointreu, cherry brandy and more recently bailey- irish whisky is ok, apparentely, i learned that off this site. Mind you i have mild dairy allergy so mustnt have too much! Malibu seems ok too. Vodkca should be ok, though i havnt had that for years. Brandy too- but same i have minor allergy to grapes so go steady.

Hope this helps

Organic ciders can be ok, but added sulphates ruin it for me. Home made or organic wine would be ok for those ovcasions when you might need to drink it, like a wedding.

I drink gin and seems to be okay. Have also drunk bacardi occasionally which has been okay too mojitos mostly. I also drink wine if I go out. Sometimes red wine hurts a bit.

We went foraging for sloes and have blackberries in our garden and have now got sloe vodka and blackberry vodka on the go getting ready for Christmas, mmm lovely, and I know pretty much what has gone into it!

Scoth Whisky is ok according to Coeliac Australia. Our regulation means that it has been tested and must be below 5ppm. Caramel colour like wise. In Australia if vodka was derived from wheat it would need to be declared. Aren't we lucky.

Hi there, here's a list of E no's and their side effects: dflock.co.uk/colitis/foods/... What you have to be careful of with some malted whiskies is they are matured in oak caskets that have been used in sherry making.

Those who are wheat sensitive avoid low calorie drinks because artificial sugars can be wheat deriv's and as stated by others caramel colouring E152 b,c and d are wheat deriv's even citric acid can be a wheat derivative. So even though they are well below codex if you are wheat intolerant you have to be very careful.

I believe that someone posted on here that Smirnoff was made from corn and I'm sure that their customer service will tell you, it'd be good if they sent you a free sample LOL.

There's also a Polish vodka called Luksusowa, which is made from potatoes. It doesn't seem to be in the supermarkets but can be found in some corner shops.

I went on a elimination diet after being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease to try and work out why my stomach was upset (having issues with natural food chemicals) but I drank gin mixed with soda water and fresh lime and that was perfect
