Is yummy. It smells of spiced fruit and it must be the best gluten and wheat free product I have ever tasted. Its also cheaper than Genius Yippee..though not a huge amount cheaper

Warburton's Spiced Fruit Loaf
Fantastic! I will need to try it! where did you get it? and how much is it?
I agree, have just tried thier new Blueberry and cranbery muffins, they are delicious, full of fruit , another type is lemon and Poppy seed, havent tried that one yet but will soon. For me Warbutons is more like the real thing, prefer thier range, than Genius
Absolutely fabuuuuulous!!! got the fruit loaf in Asda an hour ago yum yum thankyou Alison
you're welcome Jjennyann! Its great toasted too
I agree - it is absolutely wonderful - as are the muffins! I seem to be able to eat Warburton products - the Genius certainly doesn't agree with me - I get a reaction to it - does anyone else have the same problem with Genius?
Hi purplehaze, many coeliac have a reaction to Genius bread and it has a high fat content compared to 'ordinary bread' ie 13g of fat per 100g compared to around 2.5g so it has around 5X more fat than ordinary white bread.
Also many coeliac have issues with millet flakes and I'm one. I believe that this is due to how the flakes are rolled so that they become contaminetd but still test at under 20ppm of gluten.
I can eat Genius white bread in moderation and I really like those gf organic pates and love them on toast but they don't love me and act like a super laxative on me and that's I believe because of the high palm oil fat content.
I shall try the Warburtons after these recomendation's so thanks to all for the postive comments.
will try it but i actually prefer genius bread
Really interesting about the high fat content in Genius I didn't know that. I have noticed that if you look at quite a lot of the gluten free foods are very high in fat. Does anyone know why? I did actually buy some Genius fruit bread yesterday as Asda had no Warburtons left , and now that Im converted to Warburtons, I noticed the Genius doesnt even smell as nice when you open the bread wrapping.
Will be trying that one - thanks for the tip off.
Enjoy! Its not often we have anything to celebrate in our little gluten free world
So good to see something new to be able to buy for my daughter who has coeliac disease. Thank you very much! x
It is, who would have thought we would get so delighted by a loaf of bread. I hope your daughter enjoys it. I wonder if - 20 years from now - all of the difficulties of buying decent tasting products in attractive displays - gluten free - will be a thing of the past, lets hope so Alison
